Too often we get tangled in the mess of life. And it happens so quickly and almost without notice.
Every choice we make will either bring us higher or pull us down lower. Sometimes, with our peers around us, it becomes difficult to know which choice will be for our good.
Often we make the wrong choice because it is the popular thing to do. Or perhaps we do these things because we are desperate and we need a quick fix, the easy cure. These bring us only momentary pleasure. Then when the fame is gone, those feelings of pleasure begin to fade and we find ourselves in a bind.
Ignoring the issue will only make the problem worse, but we are afraid to face the enviable slow healing process because it is painful and can even be heartbreaking to you or to others.
If we turn to the Savior, He will heal us and make us whole. He will free us of guilt and shame and lead us to what will ultimately bring us to true happiness.
Yes, it can and likely will be painful, but it is far better than feeling the fear, shame and guilt of breaking God’s commandments, and it will not last.
The Savior wants us to be happy. As we keep His commandments and repent when we do wrong, then we will be free to live life to the fullest and we will find true peace and happiness doing so.
God wants to bless us. He wants us to turn to him. But we must knee down and pray.
As we ask our Father in Heaven, having faith in Christ that He will answer, we will find peace and happiness in our lives that the world cannot offer or give. I love that I can ask Him anything and He will hear me.
Gods knows us personally and loves us without end. He is waiting to give us the answers, but first, we must seek them out. He may not give it to us immediately, but He will always give it. The answer may come in a way we didn’t except, that is why we must be constantly searching. As we pray, we will become closer to our Heavenly Father. And as we listen and wait patiently, we will become more like Him.
If you want to understand the ones you love, try closing your mouth and opening your ears. I’m not saying this to be rude or anything, but in order to show that you really truly care, the best method is listening to what they have to say.
That is what our Father in Heaven does with us. He allows us to pour out our souls to Him and He waits. Then when all that needs to be said is said, He answers our pleas for help.
We are here to learn to be like Him, so we should do the same. We should have patience and allow our troubled loved ones to speak their mind, then with love, we respond so that everyone to clearly understood and the help needed is granted.
You control your actions, but sometimes, we wait until we are acted upon. We allow others to determine our fate, because we are either not willing to take command or we believe we are not worthy or ready.
Do not let your situation control you. Be the leader of your own life. Step up and take command. Your Heavenly Father loves you and will support you in any righteous act.
Love Him and yourself enough to use the agency He gave you to be better than your situation, no matter what it is. You can be happy, but you must choose to be.
You wouldn’t wear boots to do ballet, it would hinder your ability to dance. Why would you reduce your ability to succeed in life, by dressing inappropriately?
You may not think that showing a little more skin will affect your success, but it does. When jobs are looking for people to hiring, they look for people who are confident. If you have to reveal more so you can be approved by the world, then how much will your confidence fall? The more you reveal, the less people respect you. It sounds funny, but it’s the truth. And the more you show, the less people try to get to know you, the real you.
Think of it this way. If you read the summary of a book, and it gives away the ending, how much are you going to want to read the book itself?
The world would have you think that dressing immodestly will get your more friends and you’ll be more popular. This may be true, but how deep are the friendships?
Quality is always better than quantity, as the saying go. If you respect yourself, then people will respect you and take an interest in you, because you are confident. When you are confident, you are dressed for success!
Everywhere you look in today’s world, there are people trying to define what beauty is. You must have a certain hair cut, be a certain weight or height, have the coolest clothes or the latest version of whatever tech gadget there is to find. You are not allowed to have blemishes, or flaws of any kind. But who are they to say what is beautiful? What right have they to decide?
God made you and to Him you are beautiful just the way you are. He knows what is within you, and as you listen to His council, He will make you shine. And NO ONE can disminish your worth. Have the faith and the courage to stand up for what God created, because no one is quite as beautiful as you.
God has given you a wonderful gift, agency. It has been given to you the power to choose right or wrong. This is a gift no man can take away. People may limit your choices but it is your choice what you make of them. God wants you to follow Him and keep His commandments, but He will not force you. He loves you and respects your will to choose, though it saddens Him when you choose evil over that which is good. Make Him proud of you by choosing that which is good.
